ZOHAN

Born in Bangladesh and residing in New York (USA) Zohan is a lead guitarist of this generation who emerged in the wake of rock genre. Possessor of a very distinctive sound and stylistic diversity, he is a vocalist, composer, lyricist and mainly a lead guitarist who is well known not only in the Bangladeshi community but abroad as well. His name arose as “maestro Zohan" whose heart and soul resides in nothing but the guitar. Every string, every chord stands as a witness of his passion for music. From religious Bhajan to head banging rock he has played it all and with such ease. Zohan has also produced many albums few of such are; 6 nong bipod songket, kalashadok express, Moner Kotha etc. Moreover he is also the CEO/producer of TnT warehouse. Zohan also played the guitar in well know bands such as Tirthok, The Doors and Verses. He first found success with the release of his song “Bichar chai" with Lal Mia which was released by G-series in Bangladesh. This was followed by his debut album 6 nong bipod songket which has ranked number 1 in Bangladesh and abroad. Zohan describes his own music as fun and youthful while at the same time signifying deep meaning. He has played with well-known artist such as Bappy lehri, saregamapa and Indian idol singers. Amongst Bengali community he has played with Partho (souls), Balam, Andrew Kisor, Konok Chapa, Baby Naznin, Mamtaz and many other well-known artists. Not only that, he is also known in the Pakistani community to have played with artist such as Ali Haider, Jawad Ahmed and Parvez Ali khan. His experiments with the guitar gave him a distinct reputation as an avant-garde rock guitarist and his passion for music continues while shining stronger than ever. His talent is indeed far beyond then what we can applaud for.
