Richard Dipan Modhu has been described by many as speed wizard on the drums. His beautiful journey began in 2009. Playing different genres of music, he is a popular Bangladeshi musician who left Bangladesh for the USA in 1990. In the year 1993, He formed a band Zefyr as a lead guitarist with Fuad, Himel, Shumon and Fredrick. “ Alor buk cherey” ranked in the number 1 position for many months.  After disbanding in 1999, he worked mainly on Maya 1 and 2, which became overnight hits within the New York resident Bangladeshi community and abroad. As talented as he is, Richard also sang few songs in the album Maya 1. He also worked on project Kranti in 2004 with Anila, Nayem, Fuad, Upol , Shanto and Shihab. Soon He formed his 2nd band Bidrohi with Santo and Shomi and released an album where he was the guitarist. The title song from the album “ Bidrohi” was quiet popular abroad. His techniques helped the band to its pinnacle. Not only has that, his non-traditional methods of playing choices got him much attention and well deserved praised. Since 2009 until today, he settled on playing the drum. He is known to play with famous Bengali singers such as Ayub Bacchu, Baby Naznin, Andrew Kishore, Kumar Bishojit, Manna Dey and many more. Richards’s power of showmanship made him widely acclaimed and famed as he continues on his endeavor.
